Manu Bhaker opens India medal account with Bronz. With this bronz medal she became the first India woman to win shooting medal in the Olympic games. 

Manu Bhaker won the bronze medal in the women's 10m air pistol event at the Paris Olympic 2024 , the event held on 28 July.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi took to X (formerly X) and congratulated her. He wrote, "A historic medal! Well done,

realmanubhaker , for winning India’s FIRST medal at #ParisOlympics2024! Congrats for the Bronze. This success is even more special as she becomes the 1st woman to win a medal in shooting for India. An incredible achievement! #Cheer4Bharat"

Manu Bhaker also wrote a post on x is " Winning this medal is a dream come true, not just for me but for everyone who has supported me. I am deeply grateful to the NRAI, SAI, Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, Coach Jaspal Rana sir, Haryana government and OGQ. I dedicate this victory to my country for their incredible support and love."



Manu Bhaker medal history:

Gold Medal at the 2018 Commonwealth Games: At the young age of 16, she clinched gold, becoming the youngest Indian to win a gold at the Commonwealth Games.

Gold Medal at the Youth Olympics: She was the first Indian and the first female athlete from India to win gold at the Youth Olympic Games.   

Manu Bhaker was born on February 18, 2002.   
She hails from Goria village in Jhajjar district, Haryana, India.
